Hidden undera cluster of dead mesquite bushes and girt about by groups of prickly pear cactus,two young Black Vultures were discoveredthat proved to be interesting subjects forthe moving-picture camera. On the Second Chain-of-Islands, situ-ated between Mesquite and San AntonioBays, we visited a colony of Herons whichI had found in 1018. Last year the islandswere washed by heavy seas and much oftheir vegetation destroyed. Also, theyhad been greatly reduced in size. On
