This resembles the Beauty of Hebron in shape, and color, perhaps larger, white and very smooth; shallow, strong eyes; growing very thrifty. Its season is medium, a seedling of the" White Klephant. Yields unusually large cro])s, and one of the best cooking potatoes grown at all seasons. For dry, sandy, or gravelly soil, it is recommended in preference to others on the list. It produced fine, large, smooth potatoes of most excellent i|uality, when cooked, last year, on very dry soil. Mv seed is from Northern Vermont. One of the best stand- ard very early potatoes, have, yielding one- third more than Karly Itose. and about one week earlier; remarkably smooth and tine apijearance; similar in color to i'Zarly Rose; a favorite wlierev- er tried.
