Famille rose box with flowers and insects, Qing dynasty, Daoguang period, China, 1821-1850. Partitioned squared domed box and lid. The interior is painted with various flowers, frogs and insects. The lid has flowers and grasshoppers with applied peach and leaves knob. The lower part has various flowers. The base has a six-character Daoguang seal mark in overglaze iron red and the piece is of the period.
