Here’s the scoop…it’s National Nurses Week, May 6-12, 2022! Navy Nurse Corps officers, civil service and contractor nurses at Naval Hospital Bremerton provided an ice cream social as part of their heartfelt thanks to all nurses assigned to the command – as well as those they work with and for – in conjunction with the annual celebration, culminating with the Nurse Corps 114th birthday on May 13, a day after the birthday of Florence Nightingale (1820-1910), the founder of modern nursing (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer).
