The former bishop castle, with its two-storied ambulatory (arcade) and 15th - 18th century ceiling-frescoes.

In the 14th century the castle was build by the teutonic order and until the 18th century it was the headquarter of the warmian bishops. The young Nicolaus Copernicus, a famous astronomer who heretically declared the sun as center of the universe, lived here for several years. Today the castle ist a museum for medieval warmian art, modern polish paintings and a impressive collection of russian icons.
