(December 19, 2017) Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Melvin Asuncion, assigned to the "Skinny Dragons" of Patrol Squadron (VP) 4, oversees the use of hydraulic jacks to lift a P-8A Poseidon aircraft off the ground in order to perform a landing gear free-fall check during an A-10 inspection. All P-8A Poseidon aircaft undergo comprehensive A-10 inspections every 2 1/2 years in accordance to regulations.
