If passed through the rolls six timesthe dimensions of a double eagle ingot willbe increased to 26^4 inches in length, 1 9-16inches in width, and 7-32 inch in broken-down ingots are then sent to theannealing furnace, heated by gas fuel to about1,500 degrees F. and being laid singly upon acarrier traveling the whole length of the fur-nace, remain until the strips become a uniformcherry-red.
