Buddha Jayanti or also known as Buddha Purnima is the biggest religious festival of the Buddhist community; they celebrate Buddha Purnima by performing special worship & light candle paper at the Old part of Dhaka Bashabo Buddhist Temple of Bangladesh. The celebrations started with Rally, lighting of lamps and hoisting of the national and religious flags atop the Mohabihar and chanting of sacred verses from the Tripitaka.
