Midsummer Eve bonfire being built out of wooden pallets and crates at Slinning peninsula in Ålesund, Norway


Slinning fire annually will be made at Slinning Odden in Ålesund to then be burned on Midsummer's Eve . The fire is built mainly of pallets, crates and barrels. The fire is about 30 meters high, named the "Slinning fire" on Slinning ruins outside Ålesund is a famous landmark and collects hundreds of spectators, both on land and sea each Midsummers Eve.
