A brave and efiicient officer, his promotions were won by the date of its organization to the time of his death(April 18, 1899), he was an active member of the 124th Regi-mental Association and was one of the committee appointed atthe reunion in Wilmington, Delaware, September 17, 1899,to secure ground for the erection of a tablet at Antietam. Likemany other of his comrades, he was called to answer the finalroll-call before the fruition of our holies could be realized. Thet
