Pueblo Bonito is the largest of the great houses at Chaco Canyon, the nation's finest example of an Anasazi pueblo. Its ruins draw visitors to San Juan County in Northwestern New Mexico from throughout the world. Populated from about 450-1180 AD and blessed with more than 4,000 significant archeological sites, the area is now preserved and studied as the Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
