Stone altar, chained Celtic handbell & niche with stone-carved crucifix in ruined C16th chapel on St Finnan's Isle, Loch Shiel.

Stone altar, chained Celtic handbell & niche with stone-carved crucifix in ruined C16th chapel on St Finnan's Isle, Loch Shiel. Possibly connected with Finian of Moville, an Irish saint who spent 20 years in Scotland during the C6th, the island has long been a burial ground of the MacDonalds & may be site of the SSPCK school where Alexander MacDonald taught in the C18th.
