Protesters camp during Spanish local elections in May 2011
Thousands of people took to the streets in Spain prior to local elections im May 2011 to protest against the governments handling of the economic crisis and high unemployment rates. This protesters camp is in Parque San Telmo in Las Palmas on Gran Canaria, where people pitched tents and spent over a week protesting. Sign says: 'We are not goods/merchandise of politicians or bankers, real democracy now'.
