They kave been subjected to the most rigid tests at the north, and have proved equally as hardy as the old Narcissus poeticus. They bear an abundance of white flowers equally as beautiful and fragrant as the tender species, and the beauty of a clump of them is better imagined than described. HYMENOCALLIS 6ALVEST0NENSIS, Flowers pure white, exquisitely beautiful in form, and deliciously fra- grant ; produ ced in large umbels on tall stems, each umbel a whole bo- quet in itself that will scent a whole yard or room. Blooms in May and June. Fine blooming bulbs, 30 els each. HYMENOCALLIS OCCIDENTALS Another equally beautiful species? but with larger foliage, and distinct- Flowers very large and exceedingly beautiful and fragrant; 12 to 15 in an umbel. Blooms in July and Au- gust. Fine blooming bulbs, 40 cts each. SALVIA TRICOLOR. This plant, years ago, was well known and prized, but for some unaccountable reason has almost gone out"of cultivation. The foliage is richly variegated white, green and pink. For bedding purposes it is a beauty, making a close mat of foliage. 20 els each. BOLTONIA -LATISQUAMA. This plant has recently been introduced from the west. It resembles a hardy aster but has larger flow- ers which are a fine shade of rosy purple.
