Cassone. Casket of walnut with interior of poplar wood, decorated with intarsia in different types of wood. The coffin rests on a profiled plinth, above which a wide bond with motifs in Intarsia. The diagonally placed corner styles have the shape of S volutes and are decorated with rosettes and a hollow shield with wide wings and flower wreath. Front and sides are framed with motifs in Intarsia as well as the flat lid carrying a hollow cave on the inside.
