A flintlock pistol with detachable butt stock, Johann Jakob Kuchenreuter, Steinweg near Regensburg, circa 1780. Smooth (reblued and somewhat corroded in places) barrel in 12 mm calibre with brass front sight and double-folding rear sight. Silver vines inlaid on the muzzle and breech. The barrel rib displays a signature "Iacob Kuchenreuter" and a brass filled master's mark (Stöckel, no. 654). Smooth flintlock with a cambered lock plate. Single set trigger. Carved walnut stock, (butt broken) with a horn nose cap and smooth brass furniture. Later ramrod with horn ,
