The Atherton Tablelands were once covered by rain forest,but most of it has been chopped down for agriculture, Australia.


The Daintree rainforest in the North of Queensland, Australia, is the oldest continuously forested rainforest area on the planet. Over the years much of it has been felled to make way for agriculture. Many of these felled areas have been planted with sugar cane, as here on the Atherton Tablelands.
