"Scupper" Is an Old Campaigner. On his collar "Scupper" proudly wears his campaign ribbons with the stars for the invasions of Salerno, Anzio and Normandy. "Scupper" is the mascot of a Coast Guard-manned LST that went in with the first assault on the beaches of France. Facing the camera with "Scupper" is one of his shipmates, Coast Guardsman Caron, chief boatswain's mate, of 4227 11th Street, Calumet, Michigan. "Scupper's" only address is the Seven Seas for he is an old sea dog.
