Ambassador Francisco Madeira, the Head of AMISOM speaks during an inspection of the Jaalle Siyaad Military Academy in Mogadishu, currently occupied by the Burundian AMISOM contingent. A delegation comprising of senior officials from the Federal Government of Somalia and AMISOM visited the academy on February 19, 2019, to assess the status of renovation works at the academy ahead of it’s planned handover to the Somali authorities as part of the conditions-based transfer of security responsibilities to the Somali National Security Forces.
