Mineral springs, some chalybeate,some sulphurous, are in almost every parish ; but noneof them possesses any special excellence. Erupted rocks, of various kinds, fonn considerablemasses in Carrick, and some lesser masses, together \\ithdykes, in the higher parts of Kjde and rocks, olten on a basis of clay slate, predominatein Carrick and in the SE of Kyle.
