He wrote manyof the best hymns found in the Methodist Hymn-Book, of which he was mainlythe original compiler. It may be said, that while John has unfolded the theo-logical tenets of the methodists, Charles has indelibly impressed them on thehearts of the people by clothing them in sacred song. Timothy Edwards,early imbued the minds of his children with religious truths drawn from theHoly Scriptures.
