From left to right the alkalis are: sodium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide. Under the new UN Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) these chemicals have the 'corrosive' warning sign on them, GHS05, corrosive to metal, skin and causes serious eye damage. Ammonium hydroxide has an additional 'environmentally hazardous' warning sign, GHS09. This is because ammonium hydroxide is particularly toxic to aquatic organisms and its high nitrogen content can upset the balance of nitrates in the soil. As well as the symbol there is a signal word and suppliers provide numbered statements (H314 & H400) that gives more information.
