Westerlund 2 cluster and nebulae, composite image. This compact young star cluster is 20,000 light years from Earth, in the constellation of Carina. Along with its associated nebulae, it is part of the star-forming region called Gum 29. This image combines visible and near-infrared data from the Hubble Space Telescope (Hubble Legacy Archive) and the Chart 32 Team.
