ABO system and human blood groups

The ABO blood group system is a classification system used to categorize human blood based on the presence or absence of two antigens, A and B, on the surface of red blood cells. Additionally, the system identifies the presence or absence of antibodies against these antigens in the plasma. The ABO blood group system is one of the most crucial factors in blood transfusions and organ transplants.
