Australian aborigines. 18th-century artwork of male Australian aborigines named as Wear rung and Karra da of the Boo-roo-bee-rung-al tribe. The portraits were drawn by artist Thomas Watling (1762-1814) in the period 1792 to 1797. Watling lived in the British colony of Sydney, New South Wales, founded in 1788 in Port Jackson, a harbour in south-eastern Australia. This is drawing 36 from the Natural History Museum's Watling Collection.
