PROPER WAY TO MAKE CONNECTIONS All bare joints or other uncovered places in the wire must bekept away from water or damp ground. This can be accomplishedby putting a stick, block of wood or stone under the wire on each sideof the bare place. Blast-ing caps may be exploded by shock, heat or sparks, so must behandled carefully and kept away from fire. They are weakened bymoisture and must be stored in a perfectly dry place and be kept dryuntil they are used. It is dangerous to store them or carry themwith dynamite.
