RAF Northolt, 9 September 1943. On 6 September 1943 pilots of No. 303 Squadron were protecting a formation of 72 Martin B-26 Marauder bombers on the way to bomb industrial targets in Amiens, France. Near the target the formation was attacked by a number of German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighters and the airmen of the Squadron shot down five enemy planes, amongst them two by P/O Śliwiński and S/Ldr Falkowski Polish Air Force, Polish Air Force, 303 "Kościuszko" Fighter Squadron, Falkowski, Jan, Śliwiński, Władysław
