ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 5, 2016) Seaman Brandon Moore, from Mooresville, , grinds rust off the rudder of an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Dusty Dogs of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 7 in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Moore serves aboard Ike as an aviation structural mechanic and is responsible for preventing corrosion, and maintenance, and overall troubleshooting for the helicopters aboard the ship. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater
