A Seljuq Persian bronze basin (Lagan), 12th/13th century Bronze with somewhat encrusted, gray/green patina. Hammered body with bevelled, reinforced and sixteen-fold indented rim. There is a Kufic inscription surrounding the edge on the inside. Elaborate engraving in the bottom, with crescent moons inlaid in copper, three Kufic inscription scrolls, and a central floral motif.
