The Western Electric Company has been manufacturingfan motors for the past two years and has placed upon themarket 12-in. and i6-in. desk and bracket fans, a ceilingfan and a column fan. The 12-in. fans are wound for novolts only; the i6-in. fans and also the ceiling fans arewound for no, 220 and 550 volts. The desk, bracket and. BRACKET FAN. ceiling fans are arranged for a switch that allows them tobe operated at three different speeds. The ceiling fan hasfour blades and an attachment for incandescent lamps. Thefans can be furnished without this attachment and may alsobe run with two blades instead of four. The switch is atthe base of the motor and of easy access. The column fanis arranged with two blades and has but two speeds. Exhaustive experiments have been made on these fanmotors in order to determine the most economical angle at
