The flat of plate isetched with five-claw dragons and cloud effects, and roundrim with lotus flowers. This decoration is so delicatelydone that it mast be closely examined. Round rim, withinetched lines, is the rare border formed of bats side-by-sideand in a bright bunit-sienna red in two shades. In center,in low relief, are the characters for longevity and happi-ness. Under glaze of base are the reign characters in bluewithin double circle. This plate was made for the Kinperor Kang Hsis (50th birthday.
