It should be remembered that artificially coloured Soaps are frequently poisonous, particu-larly the Red, Blue and Green varieties ; and nearly all Toilet Soaps contain an excessof Soda. Very white Soaps, such as Curd, usually contain much more Soda than othersjowing to the use of Cocoa Nut Oil, which makes a bad, strongly alkaline soap very injuriousto the skin, besides leaving a disagreeable odour on it. The serious injury to childrenresulting from these Soaps often remains unsuspected in spite of natures warnings, until theunhealthy and irritable condition of the skin has developed into som« unsightly disease^ notinfrequently baffling the skil
