In many instances they are undoubtedly nsevi, and they frequently occur,as in the accompanying illustration (Fig. 52), in association with pigmentednsevi or lentigines. They also are an accompaniment of adenoma sebaceum,which is undoubtedly a nsevus formation. Treatment.—They are easily snipped off with scissors, and, as they areeminently benign growths, they rarely recur. They themselves rarely cause any in-convenience and never any damage. The tumors of molluscum contagiosum look like little unpigmented molesor warts. They are small, fleshy, rounded, prominent tumors, that vary in sizefrom that of a pins head to that of a pea, and they rarely attain a larger size.(Plate XIV.) They have usually the color of the skin, and are smooth and waxy-looking, but they may be pink or even red. They may sit on the skin on a broadbase, or the base may be constricted.
