Georgetown University Seismological Observatory installs only Galitzin horizontal seismographs on this side of the Atlantic. The only one of their type on this side of the Atlantic Ocean, the Galitzin Horizontal seismographs have just been installed at the Georgetown University Seismological Observatory in Washington. These instruments are reputed to be the most sensitive in the field of seismic research.
