A silver-mounted deluxe sabre, Vienna, circa 1810 Slightly curved Damascus blade with pronounced protrusion, false edge and pandour point, the lower two thirds with etched trophy bundles on both sides, the reverse inscribed "VICTORIA" underneath a tropaion, the lower third with additional fine gold-plating and maker's mark " Knecht Söhne in Solingen". Two-piece silver knuckle-bow hilt with elaborate floral decoration in relief, the pommel in the shape of a warrior with helmet in antique style. Length 101 cm.
