Lake of Place-Moulin.
The Lake of Place-Moulin is located in the municipality of Bionaz in Valpelline, a side valley of the Valle d'Aosta at a height of 1968 m is an artificial lake formed by the waters of the Buthier stream, a stream that plows the whole Valpelline along its length. It is one of the largest lakes in the Valle d'Aosta together with Lake Beauregard in Valgrisenche. The dam, one of the largest dams in Europe, was built between 1955 and 1965; reaches a height of 155 m and a length of 678 m. Just upstream of the lake is the Prarayer refuge.
