The baseis cast with suitable hand pole platesfor inspection of the working parts,the crank case is cast iron and the bear-ings are babbitt lined. The cylindersare of cast iron and have removableheads. The crank shaft is of high car-bon steel, oil treated, and the connect-ing rods are drop forged.
