The Singapore navy coastal patrol craft RSS Daring intercepted Hauge and ordered her to anchorage where Singapore authorities boarded the ship, which was posing as a suspicious vessel as part of Southeast Asia Cooperation Against Terrorism (SEACAT) exercises. The boarding team secured the bridge and engine room, questioned the ship's master and checked the ship's documents. A search of two staterooms on the ship's "B" deck revealed simulated dangerous cargo, which the boarding team confiscated. The exercise is designed to highlight the value of information sharing and multinational coordination within a scenario that gives participating navies practical maritime interception training opportunities.
