LOUIS (Oct. 28, 2017) – Jon Dickson, education specialist, Navy Recruiting District St. Louis, helps a Girl Scout cut PVC pipe for construction of an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) during a Shades of Green event sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. The ROV is part of the Office of Naval Research’s SeaPerch program and is designed to encourage students to explore naval architecture, marine and ocean engineering principles.
