A Petty Officer 3rd Class who served during World War II, stands as he is being recognized, during the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II aboard the USS Missouri, September 2, 2015. The sailor wore his uniform from 70 years ago. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the Hawai’i, the United States and other nations around the world, and held on deck of the USS Missouri, the same deck where Japan surrendered 70 years earlier to bring the end of World War II.
