HOSOSHIMA, Japan (Nov. 25, 2017) Mineman 2nd Class Jeremy Williams, from Beaumont, Texas, disengages the wildcat during an anchoring evolution aboard the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Chief (MCM 14). Chief will participate in the annual bilateral mine countermeasures exercise 3JA with the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force to increase proficiency and interoperability in MCM operations.
