Plant 4 to 6 Beans around each pole, and thin out to 3 plants to a pole, or 2 to 3 Bean- may lie planted in hills a foot apart under a wire trellis. Cultivate freely, and if possible top-dress around each hill with small quantity of poultry manure, compost or some good fertilizer. When hoeing, work this dressing well into the soil. Sprouted Limas transplant easily. You can get a picking ahead of your neighbor's by starting the Beans under glass in April and transplanting to open oround in proper season.
