A late 19th century view a cottage on the Main Street of Tory, an island almost 8 miles off the north-west coast of County Donegal, and the most remote inhabited island of Ireland. When the photograph was taken the island's 3-400 inhabitants scratched a meagre living from fishing and spinning flax and wool.
