The Pantanal is a seasonally flooded tropical wetland in South America, mostly within the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, and also portions in Bolivia and Paraguay. In total the Pantanal covers ± 70,000 square miles making it the 6th largest wetland in the world.
