Extrasolar planet. Artwork of the extrasolar planet HD 189733b, a Jupiter-sized planet approximately 63 light years away in the constellation Vulpecula, orbiting its companion star HD 189733. Observations of this planet have found water vapour and methane in its atmosphere and it is the first extrasolar planet found to contain carbon dioxide in its atmosphere.
