Poster to commemorate 40th anniversary of the arrival of first North Vietnamese troops of liberation for Saigon
2008 saw the 40th anniversary of the commando raid by North Vietnamese forces into Saigon, an event known in the west as the 1968 Tet uprising. The government organised open-air commemorative events in what is now known as Ho Chi Minh City. In this particular event held in the city centre in the evening groups of dancers dressed in military style costumes performed on a raised stage against a back-drop of projected images taken during the actual fighting in 1968.
