Wild red poppies growing alongside white and lilac poppies which are being grown fcommercially for pain killing drugs for the NHS in England, The pale lilac poppies cover around 6,400 acres on a dozen farms in Hampshire, Lincolnshire and Hertfordshire, the seed pods of the whiter and lilac flowers are harvested in the late summer.
