The principles of light and color: including among other things the harmonic laws of the universe, the etherio-atomic philosophy of force, chromo chemistry, chromo therapeutics, and the general philosophy of the fine forces, together with numerous discoveries and practical applications .. . being but one intra-spiral at 1 and 3, or but oneextra-spiral as at 2 and 4, there is probably agradation of several of them placed side byside in all the more complex grades of atoms, say from 3 to 7 ineach place. The need of seven spirals in all transparent atoms,in other words in atoms of substances which transmit all thecolors as in transparent bodies, will be evident. The positiveintra-spitals are grouped at 1, the positive extra-spirals at 2, thenegative intra-spirals at 3, the negative-extra spirals at 4, theatomic vortex into which the spirals all sweep with vortical whirlis at 5, the torrent at which the forces become most pointed andswift is at 6, and the axis or axial current from 5 to 6. Thecurves caused by the vibration of spirals are not shown in thecut, nor are any but the first of the spirillar given and shown asthey must be in nature, and there are doubtless points of connec-tion between spirals, spirillae and all other parts of the atomwhich make it a complete Fig. 134. Extra Spiralsand Intra-Spirals. GENERAL FEATURES OF ATOMS. IOI VII. General Features of Atoms. i. Years of investigation of what the general form and con-stitution of atoms must be to harmonize with and furnish a key-to the facts discovered by the scientific world, aided by manymore years of inquiry into the fundamental principles of nature, have led me to a very positive conclusion that fig. 135 is the gen-eral outline of an ordinary atom, especially of one by means ofwhich all the colors can be made manifest. The hundreds ofpoints to prove it correct cannot be given here, but they willappear more and more all through this work in the mysterieswhich are cleared up thereby, especially in C
