But numbers won the fight: mighttriumphed over patriotism ; and the six hundred men of Franchimont died swordin hand doing manful battle for liberty. also from Liege for the mere purpose of an agreeable excursion. There are some good hotels atChaudfontaine, amongst which we may mention the Hotel de Liege, which is in the midst of thenarrow valley in which Chaudfontaine is INTERCHAPTER FOR THE TRAYELLER.
