Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Lisa Phillips is a member of the 145th Maintenance Operations Flight. In 1996 she was the first female crew chief in the North Carolina Air National Guard. She paved the way for women in maintenance career fields and to this day offers advice to new female Airmen joining the unit. As an Airman, Phillips proved women could be effective crew chiefs through hard work, a can do attitude and technical knowledge. She is responsible for changing Air Force culture for the better and opening career doors for women to come.
